This is the higher ABV bottling of the two 14-year-old Ardbeg's from Darkness' latest series. This wonderful Islay single malt whisky has been finished in a Pedro Ximénez sherry octave cask, imparting those final layers of complexity and a plethora of sherried notes. An octave cask can hold around 50 litres of whisky, meaning there is a greater surface area to volume ratio, thus more interaction between the whisky and the oak. 298 bottles were released.
