Buffalo Trace O.F.C. Bourbon 1996
The O.F.C Distillery was originally christened in 1870 by none other than Colonel E.H. Taylor, a true pioneer of bourbon and a pivotal figure in establishing the quality that we find synonymous with the whiskey today. The distillery was state of the art for its time and was eventually acquired by George T. Stagg in 1879, starting a journey which would eventually lead to the modern day Buffalo Trace distillery. This O.F.C Vintage release is a homage to the roots of Buffalo Trace and a vatting of some of their rarest reserves. All of the whiskey in this rare release was sourced from a 1996 distillation, maturing in new charred-American oak barrels for over 25 years before being presented in a hand-cut crystal bottle. A superb expression, close to the apex of what Buffalo Trace have released.

As few as 20 bottles of O.F.C 1996 were imported to the UK so we are delighted to showcase this rare offering at Nickolls & Perks.

Ragtime Rye Whiskey – Bottled In Bond
A faithful rye from the New York Distilling Co., matured in new-charred American Oak barrels for at least three years. A mash bill of 16% corn, 12% malted barley, and a whopping 72% locally-grown rye, distilled and then matured in bond, proofed at the standard bottled-in-bond strength of 50% ABV (100 proof). Expect punchy rye spice but with plenty of berries and honey to balance. A great sipping dram that won't hurt your wallet and a brilliant way to elevate your favourite cocktail.

A collectible piece from the Jack Daniels portfolio. Prior to 1871, Lynchburg and Moore were part of a larger county called Lincoln. The Belle of Lincoln was one of the earliest bottlings by Jack Daniels, with much speculation over whom the "Belle" of Lincoln was. Many women came forth claiming to be Belle following Jack Daniels death, but the real identity remains a mystery. This 1979 expression is a reproduction of that famous bottling.

Chicago's FEW Distillery are known for trying their hands at a host of different craft spirits, including pretty cracking bourbons and ryes. That Boutique-y Whisky Company have always had an eye for spotting exciting distilleries to add to their ever-expanding portfolio, with this release marking the 5th batch of FEW Rye whiskey to be bottled. Clocking in at a hearty 63.6% abv, this six year old rye goes a long way with a bit of water, belting out notes of tobacco, baking spice and chewy rye bread, with an overtone of roasted coffee and dark chocolate. Just 398 bottles were produced in Batch 5.

That Boutique-y Whisky Company are always keenly searching for new and exciting distilleries to bottle under their celebrated brand. For the first time ever, Boutique-y have welcomed Pennsylvania's Dad's Hat distillery to the family, with an impressive 6 year old rye whiskey. The distillery focus on producing a traditional Pennsylanian rye, using a mash bill of 80% rye, 15% malted barley, and 5% malt rye, resulting in a thick and indulgent array of maraschino cherry in dark chocolate, peppered with spice and exhibiting a creamy texture, back up by a whopping 64% abv. Great stuff, and just 289 bottles worldwide.

WhistlePig 15 Year Old
The oldest Whiskey yet released by Whistlepig is a straight Rye finished in Vermont oak casks which has a much tighter grain and more rings than standard oak so imparts more flavour and depth. Scored a massive 97 points from wine enthusiast and this 2016 release was specially selected by master distiller Dave Pickerell before his sad passing in 2018. Coppersea Rye 3 Year Old – Batch 1 (That Boutique-y Whisky Company)
A new rye from That Boutique-y Whisky Company, distilled at Coppersea distillery in Hudson Valley, New York, with a small outturn of just 200 bottles for their first batch. At Coppersea they stick to doing things traditionally, using direct fired stills, open top fermentation and they even have their own floor maltings. They are a true grain-to-glass farm distillery, using only heirloom varietals of rye, corn and barley, which are harvested from selected farms in the Hudson Valley. Bottled at 49.8% ABV (99.6 proof), expect notes of cinnamon buns, rye bread, and a lovely lingering spice.

Kentucky Peerless 3 Year Old Rye – Batch 1 (That Boutique-y Rye Company)
The first independently bottled (as far as we know) rye whiskey from Kentucky Peerless Distillery, aged for 3 years and bottled at 49.1% ABV. Featured on the label is Henry Kraver (founder of the original distillery in Henderson), along with Corky Taylor and the gentleman responsible for building the new distillery, Carson Taylor. Only 406 bottles were released from a single barrel, offering notes of buttered rye bread, salted caramel, toffee, chocolate peanuts and some fennel.
