Foursquare 15 Year Old Private Cask Selection – Nickolls & Perks 225th Anniversary
To celebrate the 225th anniversary of our family-run business, we embarked on a journey to source a rum of exceptional provenance; the first-ever Nickolls & Perks exclusive rum. Our search led us to a titan of the industry, the eight-times winner of ISC's Rum Producer of the Year award, Barbados' Foursquare Rum Distillery.

In honour of our spectacular anniversary, Master Distiller & Master Blender, Richard Seale, led the special project to craft a small batch expression, selecting some of the very best casks of Foursquare for a rum of outstanding quality. The result is this 15 year old Private Cask Selection of Foursquare, bottled exclusively for Nickolls & Perks. A secret recipe of light and heavy marks and a powerful statement of tropical-matured ex-bourbon cask rum, bearing an opulent richness and oily body that will have the connoisseur sailing the Caribbean with every savoured sip. A release of 1,800 bottles.

Highland Park 13 Year Old 2006 (Cask 7253) – Nickolls & Perks Exclusive
Founded in 1798, the Highland Park distillery was established on Orkney just one year after Nickolls & Perks was instituted on 37 Lower High Street, Stourbridge. As we enjoyed our 225th anniversary in 2022, discussions for a collaborative bottling with Highland Park to mark our momentous milestones had already begun. Now, as Highland Park celebrate their own 225th anniversary, we proudly present this single cask expression, exclusive to Nickolls & Perks.

Drawn from a single first-fill American oak sherry hogshead after 13 years of maturation, this exclusive release yielded just 304 bottles, all presented at the natural cask strength of 62.8% without colouring or chill-filtration.

Springbank 25 Year Old 1997 (Cask 242) – Nickolls & Perks Inaugural Casks
One of three casks of exceptional Scotch whisky, bottled to launch our independent bottling range. These rare bottlings mark the start of an exciting new chapter for Nickolls & Perks, presenting fine casks of spirits specially selected by our team of specialists.

Springbank is one of the few surviving distilleries from the golden age of Campbeltown, the region that was once the capital of Scotch whisky production. It is arguably the most traditional distillery in all of Scotland, continuing to operate in the labour-intensive ways of old to produce a truly authentic Scotch.

A 1997 distillation, this rare expression was matured entirely in a single fresh rum barrel, where it lay for a full 25 years in the warehouses of Campbeltown to harness the full essence of its provenance. Through this remarkably long maturation, the whisky has dropped to a natural strength of 49.1% ABV, with the cask returning just 105 bottles, all presented with natural colour and without chill-filtration.

Bruichladdich 18 Year Old 2005 (Cask 518) – Nickolls & Perks Inaugural Casks
One of three casks of exceptional Scotch whisky, bottled to launch our independent bottling range. These rare bottlings mark the start of an exciting new chapter for Nickolls & Perks, presenting fine casks of spirits specially selected by our team of specialists.

Built in the Victorian era, the close of the 20th century saw the Bruichladdich distillery mothballed. New ownership led to a greatly anticipated reopening at the turn of the millennium. This whisky was produced just a few years into the distillery’s reopening, presenting an effervescence of character foretelling of Bruichladdich’s meteoric success.

Distilled in 2005, this single cask offering was matured in a single first-fill ex-bourbon cask for a full 18 years before being presented here in its entirety. Bottled at the natural cask strength of 54.7% ABV without artificial colouring or chill-filtration, with only 195 bottles produced.

Ben Nevis 26 Year Old 1996 (Cask 854) – Nickolls & Perks Inaugural Casks
One of three casks of exceptional Scotch whisky, bottled to launch our independent bottling range. These rare bottlings mark the start of an exciting new chapter for Nickolls & Perks, presenting fine casks of spirits specially selected by our team of specialists.

Founded in 1825, for nearly two centuries the Ben Nevis distillery has produced quality whisky with a unique profile. The robust nature of the whisky makes it the perfect ingredient for fine blends, resulting in little of the whisky manifesting as a single malt. This venerable expression is a true rarity.

Few vintages are discussed in whisky the way 1996 is revered for fans of Ben Nevis; casks from this vintage consistently present an oily fruitiness that few distilleries can match. This rare offering is one of the few 1996 vintages remaining, matured for a remarkable 26 full years in a refill hogshead, allowing the natural oils and re-esterification of the spirit to shine boldly. Only 148 bottles.

J.J. Corry 20 Year Old The Merchant’s Cask – Nickolls & Perks 225th Anniversary
For the final installment of our 225th-anniversary celebrations, we have partnered with whiskey bonder J.J. Corry for this phenomenal 20-year-old single cask Irish single malt. Though the origins of the whiskey are a secret, we can tell you that it harks from the oldest licensed whiskey distillery in the world, with the distillery itself being built just over a decade before Nickolls & Perks was established.

The cask was procured and nurtured by Louise McGuane, Founder of J.J. Corry. Under her expert gaze, the whiskey matured on her family farm in Western County Clare, upon which their Bonded Rackhouse is situated, just a few kilometres from the Atlantic Ocean. There it was visited by members of the Gardener family as they sampled rare stocks from J.J Corry's library of flavours, in search of a whiskey befitting of our landmark anniversary.

The Merchant's Choice pays homage to our shop, Stourbridge's first wine merchants, from where we have operated for generations tr

Willett 8 Year Old Single Barrel Rye (Barrel 1471) – Nickolls & Perks Exclusive
It is with great excitement that we announce our latest Nickolls & Perks exclusive barrel pick, single barrel #1471 8 year old Kentucky Straight Rye from the renowned Willett Distillery. The Willett family's history in the bourbon industry may be traced back to the 1930s, though the distillery mothballed towards the end of the 20th century as the family focused on independent bottling. By 2012, the distillery was revived and spirit once again ran from the Willett Distillery's stills; this 8 year old rye is one of the oldest barrels from Willett's stocks.

Produced from a mash bill of 74% rye, 15% malted barley and 11% corn, the whiskey in this latest selection was brought to a barrel-entry strength of 110 proof, allowing the spirit to draw in the creamy sweetness from the charred new-oak American Standard Barrel in which it lay for a full 8 years. Finally, it was selected by the Nickolls & Perks team to join our legacy of shop-exclusive single barrel
