2018 Chateau Beau-Site Haut-Vignoble, Saint-Estephe

A classic Left Bank Bordeaux from the Saint-Estèphe commune, the 2018 Beau-Site Haut-Vignoble captures the ripe, structured character of this excellent vintage and its gravelly, Gironde-influenced terroir. Predominantly Cabernet Sauvignon with Merlot and a touch of Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc, it displays a deep ruby hue and an expressive bouquet of dark berries, cassis and plum, with nuances of spice, tobacco and graphite that speak to careful maturation and oak influence. The palate is medium-to-full-bodied with firm yet refined tannins, balanced acidity and a long, savoury finish that reflects both power and elegance.
