Producer Profile
Bodega Los Haroldos
Bodega Los Haroldos, owned by the Falasco family, is one of Argentina’s leading family-owned wineries. Today, it is run by their fourth generation, continuing the story that began in 1939.
Their origins stem from the small business of Octavio Falasco, who used to cycle through the streets of Chacabuco (200km west of Buenos Aires), selling his wines from the basket on the front. Eighty years later, Franco Falasco and his siblings have established their legacy by creating truly excellent wines for the world to enjoy.
The winery is located in the North Valley of Mendoza, in the San Martin department. The land here is irrigated by the Tunuyan River, it has deep, fertile soils of alluvial origin. They also have vineyards in the Uco Valley, which benefits from altitude; sitting at 900-1500 metres above sea level. The wines produced here have some of the highest acidity in the country, and are suitable for prolonged aging in oak barrels.
