Producer Profile
Domaine Saint Laurent
The Sinard family have run the domaine, producing quality wines, since the later 19th Century. Across generations, they have built a portfolio of expressive wines with an excellent reputation. They have cemented their position as a superb producer of both red and white Rhone Valley wines.
The estate has had many obstacles to overcome, such as the phylloxera crisis and world wars. But they developed their know-how and adapted their business model following these crises. They increased their equipment and developed their own work in the cellar. Through passion, and innovation, they grew in size and quality.
Their estate is located between Chateauneuf-du-Pape and Vacqueyras, in the commune of Courthezon. Most of their vines sit within 1km of the estate, on terroir of rolled pebbles.
Through know-how, sustainable viticulture and nurturing biodiversity, Saint Laurent allow their wines to truly express the terroir and tradition of the estate. They only use organic fertilisers, avoid irrigation, and utilise their climatic conditions to grow grapes in the best conditions possible. They also bottle their wines based on the moon cycle, as they believe in the harmony of nature.
It is an estate with a rich history, one which is now being preserved by the 5th generation of the Sinard family. Their collective goal: to produce excellent wines from the Rhone Valley.
