2022 Chateau Buisson-Redon Bordeaux

This 30 year old vineyard directly neighbours the Fronsac AOC and is planted with 60% Merlot and 40% Cabernet Franc. Traditional Bordeaux winemaking techniques are used with partial ageing in oak barrels to bring smoothness and elegance to this wine. Lovely ripe cassis fruit and plenty of it with some warm wood spice, and cigar box. Very approachable but still proper claret. The palate is medium-bodied and structured with round, warm fruit and a velvety finish.
