Producer Profile
Domaine Andre Moingeon et Fils
Domaine Andre Moingeon et Fils is a family estate which covers nearly 10 hectares of vines, some of which have been in the family for more than a century. Their annual production today reaches 27,000 bottles.
In 1978, Michel, the son of Yvette and Andre Moingeon, joined the business. He was later joined by his brother Gerard. This was a turning point for the company, as bottling vastly increased and their reputation began to soar. In the early 2000s they expanded their holdings in Saint-Aubin and continued to develop their winemaking technology.
In the winery, they follow Burgundian tradition in order to allow the terroir express characteristics in the wine. They are constantly developing new technologies, whilst remaining respectful of the grapes. The grapes are carefully selected, with low yields, to give high quality.
They limit the use of chemicals in both the vineyard and the cellars. They also carefully monitor the maturing process in oak barrels; 12 months for white, an 18 for red.
