Jeanneret
Jeanneret wines was established in 1992 by the Jeanneret family. Their passion for winemaking for their own enjoyment, quickly expanded into a livelihood and their cellar door was officially opened in 1994.
Headed up by self-taught winemaker Ben Jeanneret, they began producing generous wines full of flavour. He is the heart and soul of Jeanneret, and his focus is creating wine that he is passionate about. Ben is regarded as one of the leading winemakers in the Clare Valley, and was named one of the ‘Ten Dark Horses’ by James Halliday. They also earnt the title of a Five Star Winery.
They have 60 acres of low yielding vines, beneath which there’s is a combination of clay and sandy loam soils. They carefully craft their wines without cutting corners. Skin contact and time on lees create a textural tapestry. They entwine both French and American oak, carefully so to balance their wines. The results show a harmony between creativity and precision.
