The English Whisky Co.
The St. George's Distillery, home of The English Whisky Co., has held the torch for English whisky since its birth in 2007, marking the first fully integrated English whisky distillery in over a century.
In the wake of their bold foray, there are now some 50+ English whisky distilleries, making The English Whisky Co. true pioneers of their category.The Nelstrop family, founders of The English Whisky Co., trace their family's farming legacy back to 1335.
Norfolk is home to the majority of the UK's barley farming, and in 2007 the family decided to adopt the ways of old, brewing and distilling excess barley into malt spirit and laying it down into oak casks for future single malt whisky.
The distillery has since gone on to win many of the industry's highest accolades, including World's Best Single Malt for their Sherry Cask Matured expression in 2024.
