Producer Profile
Champagne Launois
Champagne Launois was founded in 1872 in Mesnil-sur-Oger, on the Cote des Blancs. This is the home of some of the very best Chardonnay grapes in the region, with Launois vineyards classified as Grand Cru. This family run house has been passed through 8 generations, all committed to producing top quality Champagne with passion and dedication.
The Launois family has cultivated a deep respect for the terroir, the grapes, and the land. They are dedicated to producing wines which reflect the elegance and finesse of the regions chalky soils. Today, Caroline and Severine Launois continue the savoir-faire of this historic Champagne family. They have an onsite Champagne production museum which encourages visitors to explore the heritage of the region.
Their Champagnes are renowned for their crisp acidity, delicate floral aromas, and refined minerality. Their blend of tradition, craftsmanship and hospitality have helped Launois build a loyal following, especially among those who appreciate the creativity and authenticity of grower Champagnes.
