The Gauldrons Cask Strength – Douglas Laing

With Campbeltown whiskies becoming increasingly difficult to source, it's always a delight to see names as ubiquitous as Douglas Laing offering such a fantastic value expression of solely Campbeltown whisky, and at a full cask strength. The Gauldrons is a blend of undisclosed Campbeltown distilleries, though, with only three distilleries in the region, there'll be no prizes for guessing which ones! Soft maritime notes, heather honey, beeswax, and an aloof smouldering smoke; a perfect embodiment of this long-loved and important region.
