Tin Shed 3 year Old – Australia Series (That Boutique-y Whisky Company)

Matured in a pair of ex-Tawny Port casks, followed by a finish in an ex-Pinot Gris wine cask, this Australian single malt from the Tin Shed Distilling Co. marks the first batch from That Boutique-y Whisky Company. An unusual sequence of maturation for whisky production. Interestingly, the distillery is known to sometimes smoke their barley with mallee root, taken from Australian Eucalyptus trees. Just 487 bottles of this whisky were produced, offering notes of Cherry Bakewell tarts and salted caramel, complemented by red berries and toasted malt.
