The most expensive thing we have is our coffee machine” – Adi Badenhorst
A A Badenhorst is well known in South Africa for producing great wine with character. Secateur range offer a great expression of grape varieties and for a good value for money. This 2019 blend comprises Cinsault (54%) completed with Grenache (23%) and Syrah (23%).
Vinification: All grapes are hand-picked, chilled overnight and then crushed into open concrete tanks for natural primary fermentation which lasts around two weeks. The tanks are pigeaged (foot stomped) twice daily during this time. The finished wine is run off into old casks and concrete tanks which have a low impact on the natural wine aromas and structures, ensuring the purity of fruit. .
