Domaine Belland is now led by its 5th generation, and winemaker Roger Belland. His daughter Julie, 6th generation, is now also an integral part of their operations. The family have been producing wine since 1869, and their standards have never slipped. They have built up a reputation for being an excellent Burgundian producer, with an exceptional portfolio of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay.
The estate covers 23 hectares, made up of Premier and Grand Crus, mainly in Maranges, Santenay, Chassange-Montrachet, Puligny-Montrachet, Meursault and Volnay. They carefully control their yields to ensure quality, and avoid the use of chemicals in order to promote biodiversity.
They had previously sold a large portion of their grapes to negociants, but Roger has since brought all production back under the domaine. Their wines are sleek and elegant, with excellent ageing ability.
