1976 Glencraig 40 Year Old – Rare Reserve (Signatory)
You may scratch your head at the name Glencraig. Glencraig was a whisky made at Speyside distillery Glenburgie between 1960s and 1970s (abandoned in 1981) – utilising the Lomond stills on site. So yes, there’s not a lot of it about. This was distilled on 11th June 1976 before being aged for 40 years in a bourbon barrel. Bottled at 42.6% ABV, this makes the Signatory Cask Strength Collection Rare Reserve series.
