Glenmorangie The Tale Of The Forest
Following The Tale of Winter and The Tale of Cake, The Tale of The Forest serves as the next entry into Glenmorangie's series that explores Dr. Bil Lumsden's past, the director of Distilling, Whisky Creation and Whisky Stocks at the distillery, this time recreating the sensory experience of his forest walks. The result is a rare smoky expression of Glenmorangie, smoked with a peat fire that was covered with heather flowers, juniper berries and birch bark, before then being matured for around 12 years. A brave and unique approach to creating whisky that delivers on Dr. Lumsden's vision, creating elegant wafts of pine forest floor, coriander and wisps of delicate smoke on the nose that precede notes of eucalyptus and bitter orange on the palate, before an oaky finish.

Glenmorangie 1971 (Bottled 1995) – The Culloden Bottle
A rare piece from a bygone era of Glenmorangie. This 1971 vintage was matured in oak casks until its bottling in 1995 for the 250th Anniversary of the battle of Culloden, the last major clash between British Government forces and the Jacobites; a battle that took place in Inverness, just a short way from the Glenmorangie Distillery. This rare expression is one of just 2,500 bottles produced in this special release, each individually numbered. Presented in a recreation of the 18th-century flask that belonged to Duncan Forbes of Culloden.

Please note - This whisky is an old bottling from a private collection. Please enquire if you wish to see further images or have any questions regarding the condition.
