2020 Dominio de Freneza La Voja Patagonia Pinot Noir
This is a small family domain in Patagonia, in Mainque, Río Negro and San Patricio del Chañar, Neuqué and features old vineyards dating back to 1946
‘Dominio de Freneza’means 'Domain of Madness' and La Voja means ‘The Way’ in Esperanto…

Situated as the southernmost wine region in South America, Rio Negro stretches alongside the river bearing the same name. Despite its modest size, with only 1,600 hectares dedicated to vineyards, grapevines have thrived in this area since the 1800s. While the altitude is relatively low at 250 metres above sea level compared to other Argentine regions, the latitude ensures a significant diurnal temperature range, providing Rio Negro with an extended growing season.

Grapes are hand-harvested and fermentation is carried out at a temperature of 25 to 28°C.
Only very gentle punch down and pumping over are carried out; malolactic fermentation takes place in used 100% French barrels before maturing for9 months, again, in used French oak.

Displaying a ruby-red hue, this wine presents an enticing and minerally aroma, with notes of blueberries, strawberries, and hints of spices and subtle herbs, achieving a delicate balance and poise on the palate.

Food Pairing Suggestion: This wine complements feathered game, roast chicken, salmon, or a salad featuring goats’ cheese and beetroot beautifully.
