2022 Pietradolce, Etna Rosso
Grapes from vines grown on the active volcano Mt. Etna.
100% Nerello Macalese, this is a cross between Nebbiolo and Pinot Noir. Herbal and spicy notes are wrapped around a core of ripe raspberry fruit, with supple tannins and a creamy texture. We recommend chilling it a little and serving with tuna steaks, or barbecued meats.

2020 Zisola, Azisa, Sicily
Part of the Mazzei estates, Zisola is located in South-East Sicily, close to Noto, famous for its baroque buildings and now a Unesco World Heritage Site.

The climate mirrors that of southern Mediterranean islands, featuring mild winters and hot, dry summers. The location's elevation at Zisola benefits from refreshing breezes from the Ionian Sea, moderating the temperature. The soil, abundant in limestone and stony gravel, creates an optimal blend conducive to wines of exceptional complexity, refinement, and a dense, elegant structure.

Azisa, the word that gives rise to the name Zisola, also means "beautiful", an adjective that describes in one single word the character of this wine made from a blend of two grapes: 85% Grillo, 15% Catarratto.

The resulting wine is delightfully aromatic and fresh, with floral and citrus notes, pleasingly dry and minerally.

Food pairing: Light starters, pasta with seafood, grilled vegetables
