2018 Montresor, Amarone della Valpolicella, Colombaia
Made from a blend of Corvina (70%), Rondinella (20%) and Molinara (10%) grapes. The grapes are hand harvested at the end of October. The late harvested grapes are dried for four months and then crushed. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel for four months followed by maturation in Slavonian oak casks and small barrels for 2 years.

Aromas are so appealing, with ripe black cherry and dark fruits, followed by toasted bread, roasted coffee beans and hint of dried fruit like currant.

This is a wine full of life and energy with plenty of ripe fruit, supple tannins and an elegant acidity. The finish is balanced with juicy fruit character of good Amarone Excellent with game and mature beef
