1988 Bruno Giacosa, Barolo, Falletto
Internationally acclaimed for crafting wines of pure, refined, and intricate character, Bruno Giacosa embarked on his winemaking journey at a youthful age of 15, contributing to the family winery established in 1871.

“A rich and decadent Barolo with dark berry, meat and hints of chocolate and spice. Full body, layered and dense with some leather and walnut underlying the ripe fruit. Drink in 2020 but already beautiful.”

“Piercing scents of truffle, rose water, macerated cherry and medicinal herbs are the hallmarks of this elegant red. Less evolved and harmonious on the palate, with a core of sweet fruit and
tightly wound, dense tannins. Stays fresh and long on the extended finish. Best from 2022 through 2043.”

2019 Renato Corino, Barolo, Morra
This is glorious wine. The aromas are thrilling and uplifting with notes of fine cedar, pencil-lead, polished mahogany, chestnut and fine spice intermingling with the perfectly balanced fruit. The palate has finesse and elegance. Expect a great mouthful. It's the best Classico Barolo that Renato Corino has made.

2018 Renato Corino, Barolo
Successfully combining traditional and modern techniques has  yielded a Barolo that maintains its hallmark intensity and longevity, but is more approachable in its youth.Aromas of violets, cherries and plums are augmented by cedary sweet spice (I’m thinking of my old pencil box), leather (my old school satchel) and a whiff of coffee.

The tannins are present but smooth. The finish is long and balanced.
Drinking well know, this can only improve over the next decade – if you can keep it that long.
