2022 Ridge, Lytton Springs, Dry Creek Valley
Lytton Springs is home to 100-plus-year-old zinfandel vines interplanted with Petite Sirah, Carignane, a small amount of Mataro, and Grenache
Dry Creek, Lytton Springs has proven to be an ideal site for zinfandel. Here, foggy mornings are eclipsed by warm, sunny afternoons and breezy late evenings. Soils are varied with a predominance of gravelly clay, which aids in moisture retention, ensuring that the grapes ripen slowly.
The rich fruit, refreshing acidity and firm tannin of this complex wine showcases the balance and quality of an exceptional vineyard. Approachable even as a young wine, this classic Zinfandel will continue to evolve over the next 10-15 years.

"Zinfandel and Zinfandel-based fields are lighter than their 2021 counterparts. The wines show a good bit of freshness" Antonio Galloni.

2021 Ridge, Lytton Estate Petite Sirah, Dry Creek Valley
Lytton Springs, in Sonoma County, became part of the Ridge estate in 1991. It was found to be an exceptional site where climate and soil were perfectly matched. Hand-harvested estate grown grapes are fermented on the native yeasts, representing this producer’s commitment to single-vineyard production.
All eight Petite Sirah parcels were fermented separately. Of those, seven were chosen for their depth of colour and rich texture. The wine aged for 16 months in American oak barrels. Built to last, this powerful wine will age for 12-15 years.

"Sonoma bounces back big with a fabulous vintage in 2021. Bold Pinots, savoury Syrah's and nuanced Zinfandels are all part of the mix. 2021 is the best Sonoma vintage since 2018" Antonio Galloni.
