1982 Chateau Lafite Rothschild Premier Cru Classe, Pauillac
VM97RP98JR18.0
1982 was monumental for Bordeaux. It was a turning point for modern Bordeaux winemaking and style. Not just a great year, but a historic one.
It opens with an alluring nose of black fruits, cedar, forest floor, cigar, truffle and crushed minerals. Full-bodied yet brilliantly elegant, it is impeccably balanced and exceptionally long. A remarkable wine that shows no signs of ever diminishing such is its depth and vigour.

One of the five first growths of Bordeaux, and probably the most famous of them all. Located right at the northern limit of Pauillac, Cabernet Sauvignon dominates the blend with the soil made up of fine deep gravel, mixed with aeolian sand on a subsoil of tertiary limestone. It is well-drained and well-exposed to the sun. The finesse and elegance at Lafite is undeniable.

2006 Chateau Tour St Bonnet, Medoc
RP86
Owned and run by the Lafon family since 1903, Chateau Tour St Bonnet is spread across 40 hectares with an average vine age of 35 years old. The estate is known for producing elegant and intense wines with dark fruit driven flavours. The 2006 is no exception, aged for around 18 months in oak foudres which gives a more subtle flavour than the commonly used barriques, there are notes of dried plum and pencil shavings on the nose with dominant dark fruits on the palate - theres a definite savoury note here. This is a great wine to serve alongside a meal, try it with a roast beef dinner.

From a well-regarded Cru Bourgeois estate in the Medoc region. The average age of the vines is 35 years, planted with 45% Cabernet Sauvignon, 45% Merlot, 5% Petit Verdot and 5% Malbec.
