A celebration of Scotland's number one annoyance, the humble Midgie. Whilst this rather tongue-in-cheek branding shows the good humour of Ardnamurchan, the whisky in the bottle is no joke indeed. This brilliant small-batch expression is a union of five Madeia barriques, five Sauternes barriques, one sherry butt and 13 bourbon barrels! The whisky also follows Ardnamurchan's practice of marrying peated and unpeated malt, a 60% to 40% ration respectively. Natural colour, non-chill filtered and bottled at a robust 48% abv, this is sure to become a fan favourite.

Ardnamurchan AD/01.21:01
The first 2021 release from the Ardnamurchan distillery, drawn from a combination of ex-bourbon casks (65%) and sherry casks (35%). Interestingly, the spirit is also split 50/50 between unpeated and peated, which adds a wonderful dimension to the finished whisky. AD/01.21:01 offers up notes of nutmeg and toffee apple with Manuka honey and nougat followed by grapefruit marmalade, sweet soy sauce, ripe pear and orange peel.

This expression presents a powerful face of the distillery, a marriage of two highly impactful Oloroso sherry butts, bottled in collaboration with Maclean and Bruce. Matured for 5 years, 1403 bottles were produced, all bottled at the natural cask strength without colouring or chill-filtration.

Aged in a single bourbon cask for 10 years, this peated Edradour from the Ballechin range offers up an abundance of toffee, yellow fruit and balanced peat smoke. The whisky was bottled in December 2018 at natural cask strength - 60.8% ABV. Only 317 bottles were drawn from the cask.

Drawn from a bourbon cask, this Edradour bottling was aged for 10 years before it was bottled up using the Ballechin name, which tells us there's plenty of peat to be found lingering in this whisky.
