Lochlea Single Malt – First Release

Based in the heart of Ayrshire, Lochlea is an independent family-owned distillery accompanied by their own water source and their own farm to grow barley. Rooted in Scottish history, Lochlea was home to Robert Burns during his formative years living and working on the land between 1777-1784. In honour of Scotland's National Bard, Lochlea has released its inaugural release on his birthday, 25th January. The First Release has been drawn from just 22 barrels, a combination of first-fill bourbon and Pedro Ximénez sherry casks.

The distillery is currently managed by ex-Laphroaig distillery manager John Campbell, so we are very excited to see what influence he has on this new distillery in the future.

Please Note: This release will go on sale exclusively in-store at our Stourbridge shop from Wednesday 26th January.
