2005 Domaine Dujac, Clos de la Roche Grand Cru
VM94+RP96JR18.0
These wines are renowned for their longevity; 2005 was described by the winemaker as an ideal growing season, resulting in healthy and evenly ripened grapes ready for harvest which began on 18th September.

Winemaker’s Notes: “The reds have wonderful complexity, with luscious, rich, velvety tannins, terrific concentration, and a deep resonant minerality. All the attributes of great wine are there. These wines are seriously built for the long term and should have real longevity: over twenty years for the Grand Crus.”

Organic techniques were initially introduced in 2001; biodynamic practices followed in 2003, and are are seen as tools to protect the vines, and future of the terroirs.

2005 Domaine Dujac, Vosne-Romanee Premier Cru, Aux Malconsorts
VM92RP93JR18.0
Certified in organic farming, the domaine, extends over 15 hectares in the Côte de Nuits.

This wine has excellent aging potential and is characterised by considerable complexity and delicacy.

Aromas of violets red and black berries and sweet spices.
The overall impression is one of smooth elegance, with silky tannins supporting well-balanced fruit and acidity. This superb wine is now in its drinking window.

“Scented, savoury and lovely. Thoroughbred stuff – real race and breed. Tight knit, lacy, very dense but not heavy. Should be great eventually. Great lift. 18/20 points”
