Dr Hardwicke’s Hop Gin
A gin very much steeped in the Black Country. It's produced by the Sadler family of Lye using English Golding Hops (traditionally used to make ale) and 6 other complementary botanicals giving a lovely citrus flavour. Why is it called Dr Hardwicke's? He was a local legend, travelling the streets of Lye on his horse, helping the poor with his experimental medicines and apothecary. It's a small batch gin, each bottle labelled and numbered by hand. Best served with a slice of pink grapefruit, a sprig of thyme and a premium tonic water.
