Caroni 25 Year Old 1997 – Cask 25 (Adelphi)
Trinidad's Caroni distillery was demolished in the year 2001, so whatever Caroni rum still residing in cask is the very last to exist! Famously utilising a wooden column still, this is unlike anything whisky drinkers will be used to. If whisky is your typical tipple, you can think of this as the "Port Ellen" of rum. Bottled by Adelphi for their 30th anniversary. This single cask yielded 204 bottles.

Macallan 25 Year Old 1997 Symington’s Choice (Cask #12/3) – Cask Strength Collection (Signatory Vintage)
The Macallan Distillery is often coy when it comes to its name being associated with independent bottlings, typically opting for guises that leave us whisky lovers guessing as to the true origin of the spirit. However, there's no mistaking this single cask expression from Signatory, proudly boasting in-no-uncertain-terms the provenance of this seriously rare expression. This single cask of Macallan was personally selected by Signatory's Andrew Symington to be bottled as part of their Syminton's Choice range. Drawn from a first fill sherry butt after a quarter of a century of maturation, this is a powerful statement of sherried Macallan that will leave lovers of the distillery in awe.

1997 Piper Heidsieck, Rare Secret Goldsmith Magnum
Rare cuvees are only produced in extraordinary vintages. In 1997, Rare Champagne (formerly Piper Heidsieck Rare) Cellar Master, Regis Camus, decided not to declare a vintage but instead blend a small quantity of Rare 1997 champagne in magnums only, and subsequently age them secretly in his own, private cellar.

Vineyards: 100% Grand Cru (Chardonnay: Avize, Oger, Villers-Marmery. Pinot Noir: Verzy)
Grape Varieties: 70% Chardonnay, 30% Pinot Noir
Ageing: 19 years on the lees
Disgorgement: September 2017
Post-Disgorgement Ageing: 1 year
Dosage: 0 g/l

This outstanding wine was made in limited quantity: only 1000 magnums, each of them being numbered and decorated by Mellerio, the oldest jeweler in the world. Rare Champagne invited Mellerio to collaborate in creating a unique design for the bottle, inspired by the muse of both Houses , Marie-Antoinette, Queen of France.

In 1780, Marie-Antoinette is said to have acquired a Mellerio bracelet forme

Springbank 25 Year Old 1997 (Cask 242) – Nickolls & Perks Inaugural Casks
One of three casks of exceptional Scotch whisky, bottled to launch our independent bottling range. These rare bottlings mark the start of an exciting new chapter for Nickolls & Perks, presenting fine casks of spirits specially selected by our team of specialists.

Springbank is one of the few surviving distilleries from the golden age of Campbeltown, the region that was once the capital of Scotch whisky production. It is arguably the most traditional distillery in all of Scotland, continuing to operate in the labour-intensive ways of old to produce a truly authentic Scotch.

A 1997 distillation, this rare expression was matured entirely in a single fresh rum barrel, where it lay for a full 25 years in the warehouses of Campbeltown to harness the full essence of its provenance. Through this remarkably long maturation, the whisky has dropped to a natural strength of 49.1% ABV, with the cask returning just 105 bottles, all presented with natural colour and without chill-filtration.

Balblair 1997 – 2nd Release
Deep golden amber in appearance, Balblair 1997 has an abundance of tropical fruits on the nose; bananas and pineapples, together with green apples, oranges and apricots. Hints of honey, vanilla and butterscotch can also be detected. The taste is initially sweet, yet spicy and full bodied, which reflects the time spent maturing in first fill American, ex-bourbon oak barrels. There is a long, spicy finish to this exceptionally well balanced, yet complex vintage.
