Maetierra Dominum
Maetierra Dominum is a distinctive Rioja project built around a modern interpretation of the region’s winemaking traditions. Its wines are shaped by the character of four carefully selected vineyard areas, each offering different soils and microclimates, with grapes vinified separately before being blended to create wines of depth, freshness and balance.
The winery’s approach places particular emphasis on meticulous grape selection and considered oak ageing. Tempranillo forms the backbone of the range, complemented by varieties including Garnacha and Graciano, while French oak is used to add complexity and structure without overwhelming the fruit. The wines are given the time they need to reach a natural balance between fruit and oak.
The result is a collection of expressive, characterful Riojas that combine the richness and complexity associated with traditional Rioja ageing with a more contemporary sense of precision. From the approachable Palacio Crianza through to the more mature and layered Palacio Reserva, the range showcases the versatility and depth of Rioja.
